Holiday Program

Day 1. Arrival Day

Welcome to Lapland! You will be greeted at the airport by our driver and transferred privately to your Arctic Log Villa (approx. 35 min). Upon arrival, you will receive some welcome information with your activity schedule before heading to dinner. Depending on your arrival time, cold weather clothing will be given to you either upon arrival or the next day.

Days 2.-3. Winter Activities

Husky Safari

An absolute ‘must do’ when visiting Lapland! The dogs’ excitement is infectious and as the animals fall silent on the trail, you will realize that this is the only way to see Lapland. All of our husky safaris include full instructions and are based on two people sharing a sled unless otherwise stated.

Meet the reindeer

Reindeer herding has a rich history in Northern Finland. Our "Meet the Reindeer" guided tour offers a unique glimpse into the traditional way of life of reindeer herders. During the tour, our guide will share fascinating insights about the Sámi culture and the life of reindeer. You'll have the opportunity to feed these curious animals, and they might even eat right out of your hand. The tour also includes a delightful short sleigh ride.

Snowmobile Safari (private)

Snowmobiling in Lapland is unforgettable. First you will get familiar with the snowmobile with your private guide, have full safety instructions and a driving lesson. Once everyone feels comfortable, we will head out for a small journey in the nearby surroundings.

Aurora Camp (private)

For this private evening activity, you will be taken to the stunning surroundings of Saariselkä. You will be comfortably seated in a sledge pulled by the guide's snowmobile, allowing you to enjoy the northern sky all the way to the campsite. At the camp, there is a hut with an open fire to warm you up on a cold night of Aurora hunting. Your guide will also serve warm drinks to keep you heated and cozy. The camp has minimal light pollution, making it perfect for viewing the Northern Lights that will hopefully appear in the sky.

Day 4. Departure Day

After breakfast you'll have a private transfer to Ivalo Airport. It’s time to say goodbye to Saariselkä and head towards new adventures.
